A conversation is a place, the initiation of experience, a determination, prediction of action
and direction. It is the impression that connects the boundaries of existence. Working from
the starting point of interstellar messages, sent by the five probes currently travelling on a
trajectory from earth into space.
These probes act as earths most distant points of contact. The exhibition explores the poetic and abstract consequences to which these probes create. The exhibition will uncover how scale simplifies the act of communication, to grant a recognition of connection to be of satisfying significance. The drive to look outwardly to the furthest possible point from one’s location will be challenged by applying the same fascination, longing and anticipation towards an immediate space.
An intimacy is already present by way of consistency and proximity, yet by similar means it is taken for granted. Dwelling into a deeper aspect of perception, experience and interpretation and working with the continuous shaping and re-shaping of the gallery space. The exhibition will contemplate the role of the initiator.
A role that we deem to be a marriage between a reconciliation of one’s space to which they expose ideas, and the recipient to which it lands. The initiator dictates the content and progression of the conversation. Bus Projects provides the timeless foundation and sparks the dialogue to which the show exists, this carries inherent qualities that provide impressions in the space considered. They are channeled as a sub- sequential condition which become present entities that challenge and open the potential of the space’s evolving vision.
